USA Downhill Skateboarding Association - Longboard

What does it take to qualify for the USA Skateboarding Downhill Team?

If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to get to the World Skate Games,  here are the details.

To qualify for the team, USA Skateboarding selects certain events throughout the year as the standard of excellence for athletes.

Men’s Events

  • ACME – August 2021
  • Tepe and Tacos – April 14, 2022
  • Tour de Maryhill – April 22-24, 2022
  • Last Chance Qualifier, VT – August 6-7, 2022

Women’s Events

  • Tepe and Tacos – April 14, 2022
  • Tour de Maryhill – April 22-24, 2022
  • Last Chance Qualifier, VT – August 6-7, 2022

Ranking at these events gets you an invite to World Skate Games. Of course, in any given event, you’re up against the top talent in the country. For example, at the Tour de Maryhill near Goldendale, Washington, 245 athletes met to compete to secure points toward qualifying for Team USA. On Friday, riders need to prequalify for the race on Saturday. Then, on Saturday, Standup Men’s, Standup Women’s, Men’s Luge, and Women’s luge compete.

At the end of the competition, the results are compiled and posted. DOWNHILL RESULTS
