Making the USA team for a 3rd time feels like a special opportunity to represent my country and feel the support from such a great community of skaters, organizers, family, and friends.
I first started riding street luge about 14 years ago after seeing a luge at a downhill skateboard race and getting absolutely smoked down the hill. The speed control to go faster or slower than everyone else hooked me and the other racers have been so supportive and helpful getting me to the point I am now.
My first international event was 2017 Newtons Nation in Australia. After winning each of my heats and making it into finals I hyped myself up on the starting line. It all came crashing down in the fastest corner when I exploded the hay bales and watched the other riders take off to the finish line. It taught me to stay relaxed, be calm, be smooth, be slow. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
After 13 more countries chasing points that year I ended up winning my first world championship by the smallest points margin.
With multiple X games and gravity games championships it’s clear to me that The Rogers Bros made the best equipment available, I’ve ridden for them for over a decade and now I have my own pro model luge, the RF-1. It’s small, tough, fast, and red. Nothing performs like Ronin trucks, I love Zealous bearings, and Seismic wheels have brought me to the front of countless packs.
I know without a doubt my success is directly related to the community surrounding me. I feel so lucky to have endless support, advice and guidance from the best, and from day 1 some of the best riders willing to help set me up to have tons of fun and be my best.
